Skincare Routine: P.M.

1. Bioderma Misceller Water
I soak a cotton pad with this and wipe all my makeup off with this gentle solution.  Feels just like water and is not scented but works like magic!

2. Biore Combination Skin Balancing Cleanser
Same cleanser that I use in the morning (Read Review Here)

3. Biore Pore Unclogging Scrub
I exfoliate with this about 3 times a week, or whenever my skin feels “clogged”. It’s creamy with little microbeads that gently scrubs away dead skin dirrrtiness.  Another plus is that it smells so fresh! My skin is totally soft after using this.

4. Origins Make A Difference Ultra-Rich Rejuvenating Cream
Same moisturizer that I use in the morning (Read Review Here)

5. HBMIC Snail Aqua EGF Sleep Cream
On the days that I need extra moisture before going to bed, I  put a layer of this stuff on.  I need two pumps for my entire face.  My skin immediately feels radiant, moisturized, and protected.

When I get those annoying pimples a few times a month, I use these two to fight them off! I’ve been getting some random painful ones on my jawline this month… so weird.

Use both these products after your put moisturizer on at night!

Left: Le Roche Posay Effaclar Duo

Right: Clean & Clear Persa Gel 10

Skincare Routine: A.M.

Currently using for my combination dry skin (oily t-zone after 5-6 hours after washing my face and dry everywhere else):

1. Biore Combination Skin Balancing Cleanser
Very similar to the Clinique Liquid Face Soap, it’s a lightweight faming facewash.  It’s gentle and leaves your face clean without drying it.  Super easy to use as it’s in a pump form as well. I use this in the morning & night.

2. Clinique Clarifying lotion #2 or La Roche Posay Thermal Water Spray
I only use toner if my skin feels oily that day and when I do, I go for either one of these two.  Clinique’s toner leaves my face feeling super fresh and clean, while the la roche posay mist evens out my skin tone.

3. Origins Make A Difference Ultra-rich rejuvenating cream
LOVE LOVE LOVE this moisturizer. It’s very thick, creamy and rich without being greasy or too heavy.  I used to use a lighter moisturizer for the day time, but I find that this cream is the best I’ve used for my face.  I wouldn’t recommend using this if you have a oily skin type.  I love that this absorbs into my skin instantly and leaves my skin perfectly ready for makeup.

Review: Origins Make A Difference Ultra-Rich Rejuvenating Cream

Let me just start off by saying that I LOVE this cream! I started using it through my friend’s recommendation (Thanks, Claire!) as my nighttime cream.  I like to use a rich creamy moisturizer for my PM regimen to let my skin rejuvenate during my sleeping hours and not have to worry about it being too rich to put makeup over.

I’m currently using this after my BioDerma Micellar Water for makeup remover, Clean & Clear Pore Cleanser and La Roche Posay Thermal Spring Water Spray in the PM.

It has an amazing scent (light and fresh scented), feels think & rich upon application and the product absorbs into your skin within 15 minutes.

The outcome is that your face feels moisturized, clean and soft like a baby’s bum! Another thing I love about it is that it’s not too heavy and oily feeling (I haven’t had a breakout since I started using this). It’s the perfect amount of moisture and creaminess.

The only downsize is the price tag: 1.7oz for $46 CAD or $38.50 USD.  But I have to say, it’s worth every penny.  Skincare products should be splurged on (only if it’s right for you) because you can’t turn back the clock on your skin!

Moisturizer for Combination Skin

Finding the perfect moisturizer is tricky, especially with so many brands and products out there with their marketing schemes.  It’s hard to know what is perfect for your skin unless you try all of them!

I have combination skin – oily t-zone with the rest of my face being super dry… in the summer, I just get oilier.

I did some research by reading other beauty guru’s blogs, youtube channels, product review etc but it’s still questionable until I try it myself.

Right now, I use Neutrogena’s Oil-Free Moisturizer in the morning and at night, Shiseido’s Benefiance Revitalizing Emulsion.  In the morning, I prefer something light whereas at night, I love creamy and rich moisturizers that feels like I’m getting all the moisture I need on my skin.  However, i find that maybe the Shiseido’s product is too much for me as I wake up and my t-zone is super shiny. The morning moisturizer is not moisturizing enough for my cheeks (dry area) and I often need to double up. Hence why I’m looking for something different!!

New products I’m trying out now:
(I will do a review for each product separately as I use them)

Clinique Dramatically Different Gel

Murad Skin Perfecting Lotion

Lush Imperialis Facial Moisturizer

Origins Make a Difference Ultra-Rich Rejuvenating Cream
