Skincare Routine: P.M.

1. Bioderma Misceller Water
I soak a cotton pad with this and wipe all my makeup off with this gentle solution.  Feels just like water and is not scented but works like magic!

2. Biore Combination Skin Balancing Cleanser
Same cleanser that I use in the morning (Read Review Here)

3. Biore Pore Unclogging Scrub
I exfoliate with this about 3 times a week, or whenever my skin feels “clogged”. It’s creamy with little microbeads that gently scrubs away dead skin dirrrtiness.  Another plus is that it smells so fresh! My skin is totally soft after using this.

4. Origins Make A Difference Ultra-Rich Rejuvenating Cream
Same moisturizer that I use in the morning (Read Review Here)

5. HBMIC Snail Aqua EGF Sleep Cream
On the days that I need extra moisture before going to bed, I  put a layer of this stuff on.  I need two pumps for my entire face.  My skin immediately feels radiant, moisturized, and protected.

When I get those annoying pimples a few times a month, I use these two to fight them off! I’ve been getting some random painful ones on my jawline this month… so weird.

Use both these products after your put moisturizer on at night!

Left: Le Roche Posay Effaclar Duo

Right: Clean & Clear Persa Gel 10

Skincare Routine: A.M.

Currently using for my combination dry skin (oily t-zone after 5-6 hours after washing my face and dry everywhere else):

1. Biore Combination Skin Balancing Cleanser
Very similar to the Clinique Liquid Face Soap, it’s a lightweight faming facewash.  It’s gentle and leaves your face clean without drying it.  Super easy to use as it’s in a pump form as well. I use this in the morning & night.

2. Clinique Clarifying lotion #2 or La Roche Posay Thermal Water Spray
I only use toner if my skin feels oily that day and when I do, I go for either one of these two.  Clinique’s toner leaves my face feeling super fresh and clean, while the la roche posay mist evens out my skin tone.

3. Origins Make A Difference Ultra-rich rejuvenating cream
LOVE LOVE LOVE this moisturizer. It’s very thick, creamy and rich without being greasy or too heavy.  I used to use a lighter moisturizer for the day time, but I find that this cream is the best I’ve used for my face.  I wouldn’t recommend using this if you have a oily skin type.  I love that this absorbs into my skin instantly and leaves my skin perfectly ready for makeup.

Review: La Roche Posay Thermal Spring Water

Because my skin has been so dry lately, I got this thermal spring water to use before i go to bed and whenever I feel.. “dry”.  I didn’t read much reviews before going to the drugstore to pick up a thermal spray so I was open to any brands.

Thermal Spring Water sprays are a mist that you use for face and/or body that has a a variety of minerals & trace elements that is supposed to be beneficial for your skin.

There were quite a few at Shoppers Drug Mart (a popular drug store in Canada):

These Thermal Spring Water in spray form is supposed to do a bunch of stuff:

  • reduce redness
  • soothe sensitive skin
  • prevent skin aging
  • regenerate your skin
  • and etc.

They are all around the same price range – I went with La Roche Posay because I’ve always heard good things about the brand.  I was told to use this before my moisturizer twice a daily (day & night).  I also heard that these can be used as a finishing spray after makeup.

So, the first thing I noticed about using this one that it felt my skin really soft and moisturized.  It says to use it before moisturizer, but I spray whenever my skin feels dry or if I had any flakiness after applying foundation.  You have to pat it down until it is absorbs in your skin btw.

Another good thing I noticed was that when I use this product, my redness around my cheeks & nose calmed down but as soon as I stopped using it, it would be there again.  So, it was just a temporary soothing for the redness.

I think this spray will be a favorite in the summer where you need to “freshen up” and wear less makeup.  I don’t recommend using too much of it on a full face of makeup, because when I sprayed a little too much, it felt like my makeup disappeared! Use in moderation with makeup!

All in all, it’s a good product but not a neccessity. If you have dry skin, you’ll benefit from this, but if you have oily skin – skip it.

Maybe I should try the other brands? Has anyone used any of them?
