My Picks: Open Back Tops

Popping up everywhere are open back tops of all sorts, ranging from light knits, chunky sweaters, silk tops, cottone tees, you name it!

This trend is all about simplicity with details.  Who knew that a cut in the back of your sweater can look so chic?  A slight slit has never looked so good and everyone will be bringing ‘sexy back’ as JT would say.

Currently Loving: Side Slit Tee’s

I’ve been wearing and loving simple t-shits with a side slit detail.  It’s an awesome detail that can make a simple t-shirt very unique!  It’s easy to wear, comfortable and chic.  It’s definitely a trend I’m loving.

I usually wear it over faux leather leggings to the front part tucked into jeans/jeggings/shorts.

3 Outfits With Isabel Marant’s Milwaukee Boots

Everyone’s raving about Isabel Marant. If that name doesn’t ring a bell, you’ll more than likely recognize her designs – the heeled suede sneakers, sueded cowboy styled ankle boots, and most recently the western studded & embroidered boots.

Marant is a French designer who founded her french house of fashion in 1994, so she’s been around for a while but recently became widely recognized by pretty much everyone with her success in shoe designs.  She is known for her loose fabrics and urban clothes such as slouchy pants and loose-fitting knits. In contrast, she also is known for “glitzy – designs” and that shows through her line of studded & embroidered boots. They are so unique – western with a flair of edginess and femininity.

Here’s how I styled 3 looks to go with the Milwaukee studded ankle boots:

First Outfit – Casual & Cozy

Second Outfit: Girly & Edgy

Third Outfit: Femme Fatale
